I was born in 1944 in West Sussex. After school and university, I became a science teacher and retired in 1992.
I have always loved painting and drawing and have recently taken up sculpting in stone as well.
I am based in Weardale in the North Pennines of England but, although I love my surroundings, much of my
inspiration comes from Northern Italy. I have traveled in Borneo, South America, India and Europe and this
has had its effect too.
